WILTON — The 39th annual St. Patrick’s pancake breakfast and service medal ceremony takes place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Wilson Grange on Main Street in East Wilton.

Congressman Michael Michaud will present Carl A. Seaward of Wilton with four medals earned from his service in the Korean War at 9 a.m. They are: Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star and United Nations Service Medal.

The public is welcome to the annual tradition hosted by the Franklin County Democratic Committee. It began with a handful of party activists and quickly evolved into a favorite Democratic event in the county.

This year’s event will again showcase locally grown, harvested and roasted breakfast foods.

Costs for the breakfast are $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. All proceeds benefit the Wilton, Jay and Farmington Democratic Town Committees to help support 2012 Democratic candidates.
