Church supper
FARMINGTON — Trinity United Methodist Church will hold the monthly baked bean and casserole supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the church on the Farmington Falls Road, also known as Route 2 East. The meal also includes salads, biscuits and pies.
Story time
STRONG — Bedtime Story Time for children will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, March 24 to April 14, at the Strong Public Library. For details, call the library at 684-4003 from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday or Thursday or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Lodge dinner
NEW SHARON — Franklin Lodge 123 will sponsor a pork loin roast dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at the Masonic Lodge, Route 2. The menu will include pork, mashed potato, green beans, carrots, rolls, homemade pie, tea and coffee. The cost is $8. Take-out will be available. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.
Seniors reschedule
JAY — The March 7 Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors meeting, canceled due to inclement weather, has been rescheduled for Monday, March 14. Beano will be the activity.
Members are asked to wear green in observance of St. Patrick’s Day. Carmen Moreau and Diane Getz will supply the refreshments. The group will hold a whatever auction on Monday, March 21.
There will be a special meeting on Monday, March 28, with insurance people from Augusta to give the seniors an update of changes in Medicare and Medicaid. They will be available to answer questions.
Any senior citizen interested in attending is invited. The meeting will be at 1 p.m. at Murray Hall.
FARMINGTON — There will be a St. Patty’s Day public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Fairbanks School, Route 4.
Donations will be accepted and take-out will be available. The menu will include corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onions, biscuits, brownies and ice cream. The meal will be prepared by Stan Wheeler.
