RANGELEY — The search is back on for a new town manager, interim Town Manager Karen Olivieri said Friday.

Selectmen had narrowed their search from 33 candidates to two and had offered the job to one of the finalists, she said. That candidate rejected the offer, she said.

“We’re back in the search,” she said.

The position is currently being advertised.

Former Town Manager Perry Ellsworth resigned in January to become town manager of South Berwick.
