Dinner, auction

READFIELD — The Maranacook Community School Class of 2011 invites area residents to help support their Project Graduation trip to the Boothbay YMCA and harbor cruise.

The seniors will host a lasagna dinner and auction on Saturday, March 19, at Maranacook Community School, Millard Harrison Drive. Dinner and a silent auction will start at 5 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 6:30. Admission for the dinner is $5 a person.

The auction includes four tickets to a New England Patriots or Boston Red Sox game or a round of golf for four at the Augusta Country Club, a foliage flight, a custom bookcase, a Kindle and a night for two at Maple Hill Bed and Breakfast.

Local businesses and individuals have donated 150 items valued at more than $13,000. All the proceeds will benefit Project Graduation and will help fund the outdoor graduation on the Ricky Gibson Field of Dreams.

Pinewood Derby

JAY — Cub Scout Pack 599 will hold its Pinewood Derby at noon Sunday, March 20, at the St Rose Parish Hall.
