Lewiston Public Works Department employee Bob Bolduc fills one of a number of potholes on Strawberry Avenue in Lewiston on Thursday morning. Public Works crews throughout the state are busy this time of year repairing damaged roads as the changing temperatures create havoc with pavement. “We used over 8 tons of cold patch on Lincoln Street alone so far this year,” Bolduc said. “The worst part about it is the traffic. People complain about the potholes, but when we stop to patch them, they get mad because they have to slow down or stop for a second before going around us. You just can’t win.”
