LEWISTON —L/A Arts’ Gallery 5 will host an opening reception for its juried exhibit “Frozen in Time: Celebrating the Art of the Still Life” on Friday, March 25.
Robyn Holman, curator of the Atrium Gallery at L-A College, was lead juror for the exhibit, assisted by Sue Donovan, who sits on L/A Arts’ Board of Directors. Sixty-two works were selected from more than 140 submissions that include illustration, oil paintings, photography, watercolors and sculpture.
The 33 featured artists are Len Bartel, Steve Bradford, Mike Brousseau, Elizabeth Coburn, Richard Field, Robert Gibson, Scott Hunter, Ann Krumrein, Steve Langerman, Martha Lentz, Daniel Marquis, Marylin Lucey, Janet Montgomery, Kate Cargile Myrand, Melanie Ness, Ian Orman, Dave Peitersen, Kimberly Post Rowe, Patricia Powers, Beverly Price, Louise Price, Michael Ranucci, Tom Reichard, Sara Wilmo, Merrylyn Sawyer, Lawrence Stevens, Melanie Therrien, Adam Tice, Bill Tomsa, Jeanne Wells, Becky Whight, Sandra White and Jane Yudelman.
The reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery at 49 Lisbon St.
“Frozen in Time” will run through June 4. Viewing hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Private appointments may be made by calling 782-7228.
