LEWISTON – The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free presentation for those who would like to learn more about supporting a child or teen affected by cancer. “Supporting Children When a Loved One Has Cancer” will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at CMMC, 12 High St., Conference Room H.

Topics will include: how to talk about cancer, warning signs that a child is not coping well, common behaviors and available resources. The presentation is part of the center’s Healing Tree children’s program and will be facilitated by children’s program coordinator Tookie Bright.
