LEWISTON — Cleo E. Bachelder, 64, of Walter Drive in Leeds, died Thursday, March 24, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Presque Isle, Dec. 3, 1946, the daughter of Frank Allen and Jessie Mae Goodall Sharpe. Cleo attended school in Mapleton. On March 15, 1975 in Leeds, Cleo and Walter R. “Deak” Bachelder Sr. were married; Walter passed away March 14, 2010.

Cleo enjoyed fishing, playing cards and really enjoyed family gatherings. Cleo was a shoe shop worker, having worked at Acorn in Lewiston.

Cleo is survived by two sons, Robert and Mark LaBelle of Leeds; a daughter, Teresa Pratt of Leeds; stepsons, Bryan Bachelder of Readfield, Walter Bachelder Jr. and his wife, Miranda, of Manchester, Edward Bachelder and his fiancee, Lori Harris, of Manchester and Darren Chase of Farmington; stepdaughters, Jeannie Norton and her husband, Harold, of Pittston, Christina LaJoie of Bethel and Donna Moore and her husband, Rodney, of Jefferson; siblings, Dawn Paul of Castle Hill, Frank (Biff) Sharpe Jr. of Castle Hill, Arnold (Arnie) Sharpe of Castle Hill, Garth (Gardie) Sharpe of Northboro, Mass., and Gary Lee Sharpe of Castle Hill; 27 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; a son, Reinie “Manny” LaBelle; and siblings, Annette, Jacqueline, Lynwood, Terrance and Laurel Sharpe.
