LEWISTON— Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Carmine Frumiento will present two informational sessions on varicose vein treatment on Tuesday, April 5.
He will explain what varicose veins are and how they impact an individual’s well being. He will discuss the VNUS Closure® procedure available at the Central Maine Medical Center Vein Center. VNUS Closure® is a minimally invasive treatment system.
Frumiento joined the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute surgical staff in 2003, after completing surgical training in Vermont and Wisconsin. He graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vt.
The programs will be offered at 4 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. in the Young Wing Conference Room at CMMC’s 60 High St., home of the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.
Each session is limited to 20 people, so anyone interested in attending should reserve a seat by calling CMHVI at 795-8260. There is no charge.
