SOUTHPORT — Emily Hricko and James Nylund tied the knot in Southport on Sunday, Sept. 19. It was a nautical themed three-day affair at the Newagen Seaside Inn, complete with swimming, boating and a lobster bake rehearsal dinner.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Ruth Hricko of Minot and the bridegroom is the son of Paul and Kristine Nylund of Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.

Sisters Carolyn Hricko, Victoria Hricko, Jennifer Nylund and Amy Nylund made up an important part of the bridal party.

The couple met at Bowdoin College, from which they graduated in 2006. There were 22 fellow alumni who joined them for their marriage celebration. Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Portugal.

The happy couple lives in Portland’s West End with their cat, Slinky.

The bride is the assistant director of events at Bowdoin College and the bridegroom is an account executive at WGME 13.
