Benefit supper

STRATTON — The Stratton-Eustis Wayfarers’ Club of Maine is sponsoring a public benefit bean supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Community Building.

The proceeds will go to the Millie and Gary Howard family to help with expenses related to required extensive medical treatments for their son, Jake. The menu will include homemade baked beans, ham, casseroles, hot dogs, coleslaw, rolls and desserts. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

In addition, the public is invited to stay and watch the Mount Bigelow Masonic Lodge annual installation ceremony, which will follow the meal. The incoming lodge master, Peter Farnsworth, said,”I wanted our annual installation supper to be more than a celebration of the start of a new Masonic year. I wanted to give something back to those in the community who have given so much and and are now in need of some community support themselves.”
