BETHEL — National Library Week is April 10-16 and the Bethel Public Library invites everyone to visit to browse the books, get a library card, use a computer, support the library by buying a book bag and view the “Quilt of the Month” displayed in the front room by the Cross Country Quilters.

Recent additions include books purchased as part of the Patron Book Club. The Mundt-Allen American Legion donated the following books: “Big Burn” by Timothy Egan in memory of Bob Davis; “The Bike Ride” by Nelson Goose in memory of Peter Baker; “Ad Hoc at Home” by Thomas Keller in memory of Earlon “Bud” Paine; and “You Know When the Men Are Gone” by Siobhan Fallon in memory of Don Cross.

Other recent additions to the library include a computer, donated by Peggy Wight. Lee Hutchins replaced the rush seats on three of the library’s older chairs.

This year the fund will help the library set up and maintain a new Web site. The fund is $3,000 short of its $12,000 goal. Contributions can be sent to the Bethel Library, P.O. Box 130, Bethel, ME 04217.
