FREEPORT — Mrs. Maine United States Pageant will hold the state pageant for Mrs. Maine United States 2011 at the Freeport Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 10. 

Local title delegates are judged on personal interview, swimsuit and evening gown competition. The winner will win a one-week paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the national pageant, plus other prizes.

The Mrs. United States National Pageant system, founded in 1986, is designed to recognize and reward, nationally, the intelligence, success, strength, beauty and resilience of married women from every state and territory of the United States.

Appearing and entertaining at the pageant will be local celebrities along with former Maine’s Outstanding Teen title holder and the Studio 48 Performing Arts Center competition dance team, Dance Evolution.
