WILTON — The owner of the former Forster Manufacturing building on Depot Street will explain his plans to demolish it to the Planning Board and selectmen Thursday.
Owner Adam Mack will meet with the boards at 7 p.m. at the town office.
Mack and Ryan Byther of Downeast Construction of Portland have developed a plan to demolish the building at 516 Depot St. and prepare the lot for future development, Code Enforcement Officer Paul Montague said.
Windows in the back were removed so Mack could take out some items to test the value of reclaiming them, Montague said. He has also removed some metal for recycling and trash.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting, Chairman Terry Brann of the Board of Selectmen said at the board’s meeting Tuesday night.
