LEWISTON — Juliette M. Spaulding passed on April 4, while surrounded by family.
At the age of 80, she is survived by her only daughter; as well as five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Augusta to the parents Melvina and Telesphore Lapierre, who also had six other children. She remained close with her siblings her entire life and often enjoyed spending evenings with them playing cards and enjoying each other’s company.
She worked in both Augusta and Lewiston, finally retiring from Country Kitchen. All those who met her throughout her life were immediately taken with her. Her infectious smile and laughter will be remembered with great joy. She was a strong, stubborn woman who took her role as mother and grandmother very seriously and was referred to by everyone as “Memere.” Her nurturing spirit gave us all comfort and we are all better for having her in our lives. We hope wherever she is she is laughing and dancing.
