AUBURN — The Androscoggin Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network will hold its monthly luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn on April 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those interested in attending should register online at www.mainewomensnetwork.com. Registration costs $12 for members, $16 for nonmembers and includes lunch.

Speaker will be Isha Mahamud, a first-year medical student at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. She graduated from Smith College in 2008 with a bachelor of arts degree in neuroscience. Throughout her life, whether it was during high school or college, she helped her family start and run two successful businesses, including Mama Shukri Plaza. Her aptitude for changing, adopting, and persevering through the many challenges in her life, make her an exemplary role model for business women, as well as for younger generations of entrepreneurs.

The mission of the Maine Women’s Network is to increase women’s professional growth and leadership skills through networking and education. Membership in the Maine Women’s Network provides an opportunity to discover and more fully expand professional relationships and practices through a supportive system of chapters and statewide resources.
