MECHANIC FALLS — Britney Lee Wentworth, 18, of Poland passed away Friday, April 8.

She was born in Lewiston April 13, 1992, the daughter of Lincoln and Melanie Wentworth. She attended Poland Regional High School, where she was a cheerleader, graduating with the class of 2010, and was attending Central Maine Community College. She was also employed by Best Buy in Auburn.

Britney was a beloved daughter, sister, best friend and granddaughter. She was a sweet, caring soul, who was known to protect those she loved with a passion. She loved animals, especially her pets, Chilly, Tanner, Spanky and Allie, and volunteered at the Lewiston-Auburn animal shelter. She had a love of life and enjoyed spending time baking cookies with her dad, shopping with her mom, birthdays with Mimi and Grampy, and spending time at camp with Grammy and Grampy. Throughout childhood, Britney was inseparable from her sister, Brianna, playing outside every day, barbing it, long talks and visits to Orono; they always had each other’s backs, calling it the sisterly bond. Britney will be forever loved and never forgotten.

She is survived by her parents, Lincoln and Melanie Wentworth; her sister and best friend, Brianna Potter; grandparents, Gerard and Patricia Dennison, and Nelson and Sally Wentworth; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
