LEWISTON — Yvonne Bennett, 85, of Lewiston, passed away April 9 at Marshwood Nursing Facility.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1926, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Calvin and Edith (Graf) Hodgdon.
She was a member of the American Diabetes Association. She enjoyed reading the papers and watching her soaps. Before she married, Yvonne worked at the Hathaway Shirt Factory in Skowhegan. Once she married, she stayed home to raise her five children.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary, and husband, Richard Beaudoin, and Sue Crosby; two sons, William Bennett and girlfriend, Michelle, and Chestley Bennett and girlfriend, Sue; one sister, Virginia Bennett; nine grandchildren, John, Tammy, Sherri, James, Chad, Lisa, Joey, Jason and Jamie; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Bennett, in 1993; a son, Earl Bennett, in 2007; a granddaughter, Donna Beaudoin, in 1984; three sisters, Edith Blowers, Camella Moore and Dawn Gosselin; and three brothers, Charlie Hodgdon, Calvin Hodgdon and Richard Hodgdon.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Hospice, Marshwood, Dr. Caan and Mary Ellen Davis for all their care. Condolences may be expressed at funeralalternatives.net.
