Internet safety

PHILLIPS — There will be an Internet Safety Evening for Parents from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, in the art room at the Phillips Elementary School. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department will offer a presentation on cyberbullying. An assembly on the topic will be held for middle school students in the near future.

Light refreshments will be served. Child care will be provided by the Phillips 8th graders in the gym. Following the presentation, C.A.R.E. PTO and those who would like to join them will meet to continue planning for the annual Springfest coming up on June 3.

Wilton Homemakers

WILTON — The Wilton Day Homemakers Group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at the Wilton Fire Station. The program will be on indoor plants. All are welcome. For more information, call 645-2423.

Clearwater Homemakers

INDUSTRY — Clearwater Extension Homemakers members will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Shorey Chapel Church. The program will be on LEAP. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call 778-6780.

Shelter help

FARMINGTON — Franklin County Farm Bureau and the Franklin County Animal Shelter are hosting an informational public meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, in the downstairs room of the Farmington Town Office. Heidi Jordan, Executive Director of the shelter, will talk about the shelter and upcoming events and programs. Jordan will also discuss some of the things that can be done to help the shelter and answer questions from the audience. Light refreshments will be served.
