Mural, mural on the wall, who is the most foolish of all?
Is it the governor for taking the mural down?
Is it the critics for making something out of nothing?
Is it the newspapers for wasting ink and front page space?
Or is it myself, for writing this letter?
First, I would like to thank the president for helping to keep the unemployment rate down at a rate of 9 percent and at a cost of $60,000 at taxpayers’ expense. Now, that’s getting the best bang for our buck.
To the businessmen: Next time stay focused on just business, not a mural on the wall.
To the protesters: It must be nice to be able to take a day off (probably with pay by using a vacation or personal/sick day — unlike most of the private sector jobs).
To the artist: It’s nice to see the Maine pay scale is catching up to the national average.
Back to the governor, a word of advice would be — next time, just cover it. Talk about dropping the ball . . .
It’s the economy, people. Maine has bigger issues than a mural on a wall. Let’s get back on track, stay focused and work together to correct those issues.
Enough with the side show.
