WILTON — Bill Berlinghoff, a folk singer in the Pete Seeger tradition with more than 45 years of performing experience, will perform on Friday, April 22, at Baker’s Market Cafe.

In his rich baritone voice accompanied by banjo or guitar, Berlinghoff performs songs ranging from the traditional mountain music of Tennessee to the popular folk music of the 1960s to topical songs of quiet coffeehouses to rowdy singalongs of Irish pubs.

His first album, “A Time for Getting Wiser,” received regional and national airplay, and he has appeared on cable television in Connecticut and Maine.

The 6:30 p.m. performance is part of Sing to ME, a series of occasional concerts showcasing local performers.

Admission is by donation, with all proceeds going to Berlinghoff. Baker’s Market is at 285 Main St. For more information, call 779-9026.
