I am writing with my concerns for yet another tax increase for the city of Auburn.

It is obvious the city’s leaders aren’t concerned with the national recession because they continue to spend money the taxpayers don’t have.

When was the last time Auburn didn’t have a tax increase? I cannot remember and therefore, that is probably why homeowners here have some of the highest taxes in the state.

To top it off, the Auburn School Committee announced yet another new program — an iPad 2 for every kindergarten student.

The spending needs to stop. Auburn taxpayers should get out and vote against the school budget. This is their chance to tell Auburn officials that the spending needs to stop.
