CARTHAGE — Cape Breton fiddler Colin Grant will perform with Jason MacDonald and Adam Young at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 27.

They will also take the stage on Thursday, April 28, at Unity College Center for the Performing Arts.

Curtain is at 7 p.m. at Skye and at 7:30 p.m. at Unity. There will be a jam session one hour prior to curtain when audience members who bring  their instruments can play with the artists for a few minutes.

Although most at home with traditional Cape Breton fiddle music, Grant’s versatility as both a lead and side musician has given him experiences in a variety of traditional styles, in addition to folk, rock and country genres.

Singer-songwriter MacDonald’s debut album “Leave My Mark” has earned critical acclaim and his new release, “The Day,” showcases the depth of his songwriting with edgier production elements.

Young accompanies Grant and MacDonald on piano. His playing harmonizes with the guitar, fiddle and vocals, and also provides the driving dance rhythms necessary for step dancing.

Tickets are $15. Skye Theater is at 2 Highland Drive. UCCPA is at 42 Depot St., Unity.  For tickets, call Skye Theatre at 562-4445 or UCCPA at 948-7469.
