Incident Report Statistics:

Between noon April 11 and 3 p.m. April 17, patrol officers responded to 94 complaints that required an officer for service.

Arrests/Summonses:

On April 11 – 5:40 p.m., Erik Matthews, 24, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on River Street on a Maine Drug Enforcement warrant for aggravated trafficking schedule “W” drug. Matthews posted $100,000 surety bail and was released.

On April 12 – 1:43 p.m., Joshua Gilbert, 24, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on Pine Street with violating bail. Gilbert is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 13– 11:50 a.m., Susan Fitzpatrick, 47, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with harassment, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Waldo Street. Fitzpatrick is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 14 – 3:16 a.m., Nicholas Varnum, 21, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on River Street with domestic violence assault. Varnum posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 14 – 8:24 a.m., Abdi Awad, 25, of Portland was arrested by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Prospect Avenue with violating bail. Awad was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 14 – 8:24 a.m., Francis Mezan, 21, of Portland was charged by Ptl. Brad Gallant on Prospect Avenue with violating bail. Mezan was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 15 – 4 p.m., Jeffrey Hill, 22, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Joseph Sage on River Street on a Maine Drug Enforcement warrant for aggravated trafficking schedule “W” drug. Hill was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On April 15 – 11:27 p.m., Kevin Arsenault, 38, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Hancock Street with violating bail Class “C” and possession of schedule “W’ drug. Arsenault was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 5.

On April 16 – 12:57 a.m., Daniel Pelletier, 32, of Rumford was charged by Act. Cpl. Donald Miller on Route 108 with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to notify the state of address change. Pelletier is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

On April 16 – 10:32 a.m., Joshua Robichaud, 26, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on Cumberland Street with assault. Robichaud is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 5.

On April 17– 4:54 a.m., Erik Matthews, 24, of Rumford was charged by Act. Cpl. Donald Miller on Congress Street with violating bail. Matthews was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 7.

Burglary:

On April 12 – 8:22 a.m., Sgt. Maifeld investigated a possible attempted burglary on York Street. No entry was made. A storm window was tampered with.

On April 16 – 8:09 p.m., Act. Cpl. Miller investigated a possible burglary on Maine Avenue.

Wanted

Scott B. Pike, 28, of Lewiston and Rumford is wanted on a New Hampshire warrant for robbery.
