AUBURN — Police are investigating a stabbing involving two men early Tuesday morning.
At about 5:45 a.m., police responded to 251 Minot Ave. for a report of a fight in progress. The building at that address, near Rotary Street, is a 12-unit apartment building, according to a news release from the Auburn Police Department.
When they arrived, according to Deputy Chief Jason Moen, two men were involved in “some type of altercation.”
Mohamed Abdulkarim, 26, of Portland was transported to Central Maine Medical Center where he was treated for facial injuries and released.
Mohamed Ali Bile, 26, of Lewiston, was also transported to CMMC, where he was treated for a stab wound to his shoulder. He was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday afternoon.
According to Moen, police are investigating the circumstances of the fight. No charges have been filed.
