Easter parade

TURNER — Turner Historical Museum will sponsor an Easter Bonnet Parade in association with the Turner Public Library’s Spring Celebration on Saturday, April 23. Children ages 6-12 are invited to decorate their own hat or bonnet and take part in the Parade at 1 p.m. at the new Gazebo on campus. Prizes will be awarded. An Easter egg hunt will follow.

Food and plants

INDUSTRY — Easter bake sale and perennial sale will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 23, at Shorey Chapel, to benefit the Shorey Chapel Preservation Fund.

Grange potluck

JAY — North Jay Grange #10 will celebrate 137 years with a noon potluck dinner (bring a dish or dessert) and a 1 p.m. program Saturday, April 23. Free and open to the public. The Grange Community Service Award and other awards will be presented. There will be speakers and door prizes. For more information, call 645-4628, 645-2217 or 645-4211.

Easter service

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry will hold an Easter Sunrise Service at approximately 5:42 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, on Voter Hill. To get there, go just more than a mile past the former WKTJ radio station, turn left and go straight up the hill. Meet at the intersection, a short way passed the farm buildings.

The service will be held rain or shine. Dress warm and wear boots. Following the service, all are invited indoors for muffins and beverages at the home of Fred and Denise Brittain.

Service, breakfast

WILTON — Pilgrim Commandery #19 Knights Templar will hold its annual Easter service and breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, at the Farmington/Wilton Harnden Masonic Hall on the Bryant Road, East Wilton. All Sir Knights and Masons are invited to attend along with their sons and grandsons. Donations will be accepted for the breakfast.
