FARMINGTON — The Healthy Community Coalition will host free GPS training May 10 on the Tree of Life Trails of the the Franklin Memorial Hospital campus.

The training will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. as part of the Mapping Our Footsteps grant initiative from the Environmental Funders Network. Participants should meet in the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Members of the Maine Forest Service will provide the training. There will also be information available about Geocashing and how to get started.

“This is an excellent project for community groups and families. It gets you outside, walking, hiking and enjoying all the beauty of Western Maine. And it’s free,” Program Coordinator Lorri Brown said.
