CONWAY, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire are searching a pond near where the car of a missing 20-year-old Maine woman was found with her daughter inside.
WMUR-TV says the pond is about a quarter mile from where Krista Dittmeyer’s car was found Saturday, idling with its flashers on.
Police pushed media members away from the pond at about 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Dittmeyer was last seen Friday. Dittmeyer’s 14-month-old daughter is safe and in the custody of her grandmother.
Conway police say they believe Dittmeyer, who grew up in Bridgton, Maine, about 25 miles from Conway, is a crime victim.
