On Saturday, April 30, Art Pulse Cooperative Gallery and the Maine League of Young Voters will host a group art show and celebration of spring. Called “Aperire” — Latin for April, meaning “to open” — the event will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at the gallery at 178 Lisbon St., Lewiston. Acoustic guitarist Andre Demers and Tony St. Pierre will perform. Local artists Kerry Landry, Grayling Cunningham, Jason Landry, Jeanelle Demers, Kate Myrand, Dave Mireault, Hunter Matthews, Ray Fannin and Linda Quigley will show their artwork. Also displaying pieces will be students Brittany Martin, Jacie Pelletier, Hailey Sontag and Elizabeth Champagne. This piece by Myrand is titled “Remnants.”
