JAY — A Buxton man was injured Saturday when his car and a truck driven by Farmington Town Manager Richard Davis collided on Main Street, police said. Davis was not hurt.
Michael Angelo, 57, was driving a 1992 Ford sedan south on Main Street about 12:30 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle and a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven Davis, 56, of Wilton crashed head on, police said. Davis was making a left turn from Riley Road to head north on Main Street, police said.
Angelo was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar Ambulance. He was treated and later released, police said.
A dog in Angelo’s car appeared unharmed and was cared for by the Jay Animal Control Officer until Angelo was released from the hospital.
Angelo’s car was demolished and Davis’ truck sustained heavy front-end damage, police said. Both were towed from the scene.
Jay police Sgt. Troy Young Sr. responded, along with members of the Jay Fire Department who helped with traffic control and cleaned up leaking fluids and debris.
