This is in reference to a letter from Mark Bilodeau, printed April 29, that responded to a letter of mine, printed April 25.
My points were:
— Social Security and Medicare plans were not developed as “welfare” programs but are paid by participants for retirement plans.
— My gap insurance company told me (I did not assert) the more than double increase in the premium was required to cover the “ObamaCare” costs to the program.
— A green energy plan’s success is dependent upon higher gas, coal and oil costs.
— I want Maine’s two federal senators to support the Republican platform (who said replace?).
— U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan’s plan for seniors provides an exemption for seniors older than 55. Why do Democrats want to change their name to Progressive?
