LIVERMORE FALLS — Once again, veterans and proud Americans will gather Mondays from 8 to 9 a.m. to hold the American flag to honor those in the nation’s military.

This year, because of construction expected this summer on Main Street in Jay and Livermore Falls, the group will  gather to hold their flags high in the park at Union and Church streets in Livermore Falls.

For the fourth year, every Monday from May 2 through Veterans Day in November, rain or shine,  people gather in honor and respect for the men and women serving in the United States military who are stationed around the world to stand up for the country’s freedoms.

Extra American flags are available for those who want to participate but don’t have a flag to hold.
