GRAY — Staff from the UMaine 4-H Camp at Bryant Pond will be featured presenters from 11 a.m. to  2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Maine Wildlife Park on Route 26.

For over 50 years, the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center (formerly the Maine Conservation School) has strengthened children’s relationship to the natural world with a combination of inspired outdoor fun, practical woods-wise skills, and hands-on conservation education. The staff will make a presentation about their program to help parents make an informed decision about summer camp for their children.

A summer series of wildlife exhibits and demonstrations are offered throughout the season at the Maine Wildlife Park, which is owned and operated by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. 

The Maine Wildlife Park has over 30 species of native wildlife on display, plus wildlife gardens, nature trails, a fish hatchery and other interactive exhibits and displays. The park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from April 15 to Nov. 11; visitors must leave the premises by 6 p.m.

Admission to the park is free for ages 3 and under; $5 ages 5-12; $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more are $3.50 per person. Family and community season passes are available.
