DEAR SUN SPOTS: I thought I saved the section from old newspapers that reported a story about a Portland convenience store that denied access to person with a service dog, but it must have gone out with the recycling. I’ve tried searching website with every possible combo and nothing relevant comes up. Could you please point me to this story? Thanks. — Steve via email

ANSWER: The story you describe did appear in the Sun Journal, but it was written by a Portland Press Herald reporter. The Sun Journal has an agreement with several other Maine newspapers to share stories. However, that agreement precludes placing the other newspapers’ stories on the Sun Journal website, which is why you couldn’t find it. You can read the story at http://tinyurl.com/5t522tu.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I was wondering if you know of anyone in the Lewiston Auburn area who does eBay, as I have some things that I would like to sell to make some extra money to survive on. If so, they may contact me at 240-4668 anytime.

Also, as I was going through the old newspapers, I saw that there is some money that is unclaimed, and I was wondering if maybe that I may have some after all. How can I find this out?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I just read the May 7 story from the person asking about the song “There Was I Waiting at the Church.” I found a version of the song sung by a Lily Morris on YouTube: http://tinyurl.com/62kfytt. It appears to be a clip from an old movie.

There is also a version by Vesta Victoria from a 1907 recording (http://tinyurl.com/5tdsvk8), but it doesn’t seem as funny. — Brian via email
