ANSWER: According to a posting on Amazon.com, Kleenex had trouble selling man-size tissues to women, who do most of the shopping, so they are rebranding them as “extra large.” If you go to http://tinyurl.com/64ohd6x. you can sign up to be notified if and when they become available. They are not on the Kleenex website.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for publishing my letter (May 2) about doll eyeglasses. Now I need a correction. I need 2¼-inch half-round and not 2½ as was published.

I have purchased these before and know someone, somewhere must still have them. I’m hoping your readers will help locate them. Any help will be appreciated. — Dodie Mahar, Rumford, 364-2338

ANSWER: Sun Spots thinks your best bet is online. Since your letter was handwritten, she guesses you might not have a computer and would need assistance with shopping on eBay. Stephen J. Martelli (Auburn, 786-9116, sjmartelli@myfairpoint.net) is willing to help people buy as well as sell on eBay.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Some time ago there was a story and pictures about a woman who makes “beanie hats” for cancer patients at hospitals. I crochet a lot and have extra yarn. I would like to do the same thing for the hospitals here. I would appreciate it if she would contact me. ANSWER: You may be referring to a Feb. 8 story about Lily Gagnon (www.sunjournal.com/city/story/981146), although she called her hats “head huggers,” not beanies.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am writing to see if there are still some honest people left in this area. I was in Auburn on May 3 to go to a doctor’s appointment. On the way home I stopped at Big Lots in Auburn. When I used my debit card I must have lost my cash that I had saved to buy my mom some oil. I have called Big Lots twice. Nobody turned it in. I am unable to do it any more, and my husband is fighting cancer, so he can no longer do much around our home. ANSWER: Sun Spots does not know of any charity that provides this service, although the Boy Scouts and other service groups do occasionally help seniors and those with disabilities with fall or spring cleanup. Perhaps readers will have suggestions. Otherwise, your best bet may be to approach your neighbors and see if one of them or their children would do the job for a small fee.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I want to thank you so much for the help finding the owner of the 1967 class ring. The first day it was in the paper I found the owner with the help of Hope from a North Carolina daily newspaper. He lives only about 20 miles from me. I got his phone number, but cannot get an answer so I’m going to keep calling until he answers. Again, thanks for the help. — E.J.B., Sabattus
