LEWISTON — Memorial services honoring the life of Normand Duchesneau were held Thursday at Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, with Chaplain Kathleen O’Wril presiding. Prior to Normand’s service, there was a a large delegation of Lewiston Public Works in attendence, along with their service vehicles by the parkway entrance of the funeral home. Also in attendance were City Administrator, Edward Barrett, Deputy City Administrator Phil Nadeau and Lewiston Public Service Director David Jones. Words of remembrance were shared by Norm’s friends and co workers, George Belanger, Irene Dostie, Butch Boucher and Mike Danforth. Family friend, Hillary Lacombe sang “Amazing Grace” and “Wind Beneath My Wings” as a tribute to Normand. Also played during the service was Bruce Brousseau’s rendition by CD of Norm’s favorite song, “I Did It My Way.” At the conclusion of services, all were invited to greet the Duchesneau family with a personal condolence. A reception of fellowship followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Duchesneau in Sabattus.
