When Dave Iannotti of Greene decided to build his dream home, he was not going to limit himself to any specific square footage of living space. Iannotti worked with four different architects and Buffard and McFarland builders of Auburn to build his three-level modified cape on Allen Pond. The home has many unique features, including seven dormers, a double-decker garage, an oak-trimmed living room and a heated indoor swimming pool. In all, it turned out to be 5,500 square feet of living space on five acres of land, with 260 feet of waterfrontage. But six years after building the house, Iannotti has decided to put it up for sale: “With the kids gone, this is just too much house for me and my cat,” he said.
