Lewiston — L-A’sPecha Kucha Night is coming again to Gallery 5 Friday, June 10.
Do you have a creative idea to share? Writers, painters, eachers. Inventors. City Planners. Developers. Musicians. Designers. Storytellers. All are welcome!
If you are interested in being a presenter, contact Tammie Grieshaber, curator of Gallery 5. [email protected].
Pecha Kucha Night is a high-energy evening of creative folks sharing creative ideas on a level playing field. Each presenter shows 20 images for 20 seconds each. That’s six minutes and 40 seconds to energize the audience with their ideas, project, art work, creativity. No one monopolizes the mic and no one gets bored. The pace is fast, but there is plenty of time built into the evening for people to meet, share and make connections.
PKN was started in Tokyo by Klein Dytham Architecture in 2003 as a way for young designers to meet, network and show their work.
Gallery 5, 49 Lisbon Street, Lewiston, is a community outreach initiative of L/A Arts. It features and promotes works of art in all media and serves as an educational resource for those who are familiar with original art and those for whom original art is a new experience.
