LEWISTON — Two local men were arrested after police received reports of gunfire Tuesday night in a downtown apartment building.
Eric Lundin, 34, of 104 Blake St. was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Each charge is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Antonio Rembert, 34, of 176½ Blake St. was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Police said officers responded to a first-floor apartment at Rembert’s address shortly after 7 p.m.
Lewiston police Detective Scot Bradeen and Central Maine Violent Crimes Task Force Agent Derrick St. Laurent were able to identify the men as suspects after an investigation.
Bradeen recovered a .22-caliber firearm from inside the apartment.
