AUBURN — The Green Leaf defeated Cascades, 23-5, in the firstAuburn Rec softball  game of the year for both teams under the lights at Pettengill Park. The game was halted after five innings.

Jim Small Sr. was the winning pitcher and also helped his own cause going 3-for-3. Joining him with three hits were Tommy Juray Jr., Gard Deletetsky, Eric Pepin and Joey Morin. Allen and Newman were repeat hitters for Cascades.
