Advocates for Children will host its second Family Fun Fest from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Festival Plaza, Main Street, Auburn. The headlining act will be Maine’s own Tony Boffa Band, pictured, and will also feature the Tinpanic Steel Band and a performance by Pelletier’s Karate Academy. The Tony Boffa Band features a rhythm section of keyboard, guitar, bass and drums, a three-piece horn section consisting of trumpet, trombone and saxophone, and a female vocalist. A very unique aspect of the band is that seven of the eight performers are reliable lead singers. The event is free.
