Advocates for Children will host its second Family Fun Fest from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Festival Plaza, Main Street, Auburn. The headlining act will be Maine’s own Tony Boffa Band, pictured, and will also feature the Tinpanic Steel Band and a performance by Pelletier’s Karate Academy. The Tony Boffa Band features a rhythm section of keyboard, guitar, bass and drums, a three-piece horn section consisting of trumpet, trombone and saxophone, and a female vocalist. A very unique aspect of the band is that seven of the eight performers are reliable lead singers. The event is free. There will be food, fun and activities for the whole family, along with iced coffee from Starbucks for the moms. For more information, call 783-3990.
