WEST PARIS — The annual West Paris Old Home Days will be Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11, a week later than usual. The change was made to coincide with the West Paris alumni gathering and an optimistic chance for better weather.

This year’s theme is “Music in the Air” and the plan is to carry it through in new entertaining ways.

The West Paris Old Home Days parade will begin an hour later, at 11 a.m.

Local talent will perform throughout the whole event and organizers are still looking for musicians for the parade. New this year are a rock wall, sky jumping trampoline site, a petting zoo from the Inch by Inch Farm, and a magic show.

Friday night will be a street dance with “Monsta” and Fireworks at 9. Raindate for fireworks is Saturday at 9 p.m.

Saturday features music throughout the day with M.C. Sammy Chapman on board at 6 p.m. Chapman, a Bethel native, spent the last year living in West Paris and will perform children’s songs to kick off the evening show featuring the Rockin’ Roadrunners. Chapman will play old favorites and new songs between sets including.

Classic toy train layouts will continue to be displayed at the Grange Hall, The Little Castle Library will host at least two local authors and the West Paris Historical Society will be open.
