LEWISTON — Danielle L. Laplante, daughter of Rick and Brenda Laplante of Lewiston, has received recognition at the University of New England’s annual awards ceremony on April 19 at Decary Hall on UNE’s Biddeford campus. The following awards were presented:

Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges Award in recognition of outstanding merit and accomplishment as a student at UNE.

A 2007 graduate of Lewiston High School, Laplante is a major in medical biology and minoring in psychology and is involved at the University in the UNE EMS Club as an orientation leader and in the Pre-PA Club.
