DIXFIELD — Residents are advised that a 6-foot-long boa constrictor snake is on the loose, police Chief Richard Pickett said.
The reptile escaped its holding tank at a residence around Jacob’s Alley on Saturday, shortly after it had been fed. It is described as yellowish brown with a girth about the size of a soda can. It would probably seek a warm dry place to rest, he said.
If someone sees it, they should not handle it but keep it in sight and call police.
