LEWISTON — Jeannette B. Savard, 88, of Lewiston passed away at Marshwood health care facility June 15.

She was born July 8, 1922, in Augusta, a daughter of the late Onezime and Odile (Moreau) Bell.

Jeannette moved to Lewiston in her late teens. In 1947, she married Fernand Bellmore and they had four children together, Gerard, Paul, Marlene and Dennis.

She was a spinner for Bates Manufacturing Co. (Hill Division) for 35 years. Jeannette was active in the AFL-CIO, treasurer of the Women’s Auxiliary American Legion Post 22, and Horizon 55. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt and garden in her spare time.

In 1961, her husband passed away, and in 1964 she married Fernand Bussiere. Together they lived life to its fullest. They both worked hard during the week, and had fun on their weekends, spending time with their family, dancing, picnics and enjoying a social network of friends.

In 1978, Fernand Bussiere passed away. Jeannette remarried in 1981 to Antonio Savard. They lived together in Lewiston, until Tony passed in 1994.

Jeannette is survived by her sons, Paul Bellmore and his companion, Beverly, of Levant and Dennis Bellmore and his wife, Nadine, of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Scott, Timothy, Melissa and Andrew; one great-grandchild, Jeffrey; a sister, Yvette Pelletier of Lewiston; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Bellmore of Auburn.

She was predeceased by several siblings; her eldest son, Gerard Bellmore; and her daughter, Marlene Wallace.
