BANGOR — Michelle Mattor Avery, daughter of Peg Convoy of Rumford and Bill Mattor of Beverly, Mass.,  graduated May 14 from Husson University in Bangor with a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

A 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, Michelle is an Iraq War veteran while attaining the rank of Specialist with the Maine Army National Guard. She resides in Milford with her husband, Allen, and they are expecting a baby boy this summer.
