LEWISTON — The YWCA is offering mini and full summer swim lessons available mornings, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays for ages six months through adult. All classes are age appropriate and are led by certified, experienced instructors. Registration and openings are available today; space is limited. Summer swim session begins June 28 and a variety of sessions and weeks are available through Aug. 19.

Water babies, Puddle Jumpers and Parent & Tot water adjustment classes are available for ages six months to 35 months. Parents accompany their child in the water. Water Explorers welcomes children 2-6 years of age and helps to conquer fear of the water. Parents accompany their child in the water.

Aquatots, Guppies, Jellyfish, Polliwog and Tadpole classes are designed to help children ages 3-15 develop skills to become proficient swimmers. Classes are paced for the age and ability level of each child. YWCA instructors will help parents decide on the most appropriate level for their child.

American Red Cross Water Safety classes for stroke development, stroke refinement and fitness are also offered to youths through the summer as well as adult lessons for ages 15 and older working on beginner strokes and comfort in the water.
