LEWISTON — The board of directors of Tri-County Mental Health Services announces that Catherine Ryder, LCPC, has been selected to lead the agency as executive director.

A 19-year employee of the agency, Ryder has been serving as interim executive director since February. Prior to that she was director of clinical services and credited with the development of innovative and cost effective services such as integrated primary care.

Ryder received a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College and a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. She has advanced training in a number of clinical areas, including the certificate program in primary care behavioral health at University of Massachusetts Medical School, trauma treatment and veterans’ issues.

Tri-County Mental Health Services deals with the psychological and social well-being of children, adults and elders, serving more than 11,000 people each year, serving communities in Androscoggin, northern Cumberland, Franklin, Oxford and York counties.
