RUMFORD — Fourth of July fireworks and festivities will return to Rumford this year.

A fireworks display will be launched at 9:15 p.m Monday, July 4. The rain date is Tuesday, July 5. The show will be staged from the northeast corner of Hosmer Field by Atlas PyroVision Productions of Jaffrey, N.H.

Gates to Hosmer Field will open at 4 p.m. July 4 and celebration events will commence at 5.

The schedule for the celebration on Hosmer Field is:

* 5 to 7:30 p.m., children’s activities and music.

* 5 to 9 p.m., live music for all ages.

* 6 to 6:20 p.m., Walk of Danger by Scot Grasette.

* 7:45 to 8 p.m., magic show.

* 9 to 9:15 p.m., moment of silence followed by the national anthem.

* 9:15 p.m., fireworks display.
